Role Overview:As a Java Backend Senior Software Engineer (SSE) at CGI, you will be joining a team of professionals who are passionate about coding and developing scalable, high-performance applications. Your role will involve working closely with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver quality solutions that meet the needs of clients.Key Responsibilities:- Possess at least 8 years of experience in software development- Demonstrate knowledge of modern software architectures and development concepts & processes- Deep understanding of respective development domains such as Web, Mobile, Middleware, API, Platform, CRM, CMS, etc.- Expertise in necessary development tools and programming languages- Proficient in software requirement engineering and managing requirements- Familiarity with software testing including unit test design & execution as well as E2E tests- Basic understanding of IT cyber security and secure software development- Basic knowledge of banking economics (banking, trading, investing; products, and transactions)- Experience working in an agile environment with Scrum- Strong English skills in both verbal and written communicationQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience- Passion for coding and developing high-performance applications- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients- Ownership mindset to turn insights into actionAdditional Details:Life at CGI is centered around ownership, teamwork, respect, and belonging.
