Role Overview:As a PLSQL Developer at BNP Paribas India Solutions in Chennai, you will be responsible for Tax processing application development. Your role involves developing code for various flagship and technical migration projects. It is essential to possess the relevant technical skills to understand and enhance the existing application both functionally and technically.Key Responsibilities:- Consistent work experience of 8 years in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.- Develop schemas, tables, indexes, sequences, constraints, functions, procedures, Packages, Collections, Users, and Roles.- Understand business requirements and develop database models accordingly.- Provide optimal design solutions to enhance system quality and efficiency.- Follow best practices for database design and perform capacity analysis and database tuning.- Maintain technical documentations for reference purposes.- Write complex codes and queries, participate in code reviews, and test upgrades.- Collaborate with other developers to improve applications and establish best practices.- Understand front-end users requirements (Java) and possess a problem-solving attitude.- In-depth understanding of data management including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.- Provide training and knowledge sharing with the development team.- Implement and maintain database security, performance tuning, and monitoring.- Perform data anonymization.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education level.- At least 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.- Prior experience in High Volume/Mission critical Systems is a plus.- Knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry.- Familiarity with software development life cycle and Agile/Iterative methodology.- Technical competency in SQL and PL/SQL development, Oracle Database, ER Diagrams, Data Flows, DB design & modelling, performance tuning tools, and debugging.- Ability to perform technical analysis, design, and identify impacts.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.- Ability to share knowledge, manage meetings, facilitate change, develop others, and adapt processes.Note: The job description provided by BNP Paribas India Solutions does not include any additional details about the company.
