Senior Proposals Engineer II

Job Description

In this role at Emerson as a Senior Proposals Engineer II, you will be a part of the Emerson Actuation Technologies team supporting MEA Proposals Activities and collaborating with MEA Customer Sales. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the MEA Outside Sales Organization to meet customer requirements within the MEA Actuation Technologies organization.**Key Responsibilities:**- Understand the projects technical requirements and ensure SMART quotes are prepared by Quote Engineers for all enquiries.- Collaborate with sales to develop the quote strategy and highlight product strengths to meet customer needs.- Gain expertise in the technical aspects of various products in the Actuation Technologies portfolio.- Coordinate with Engineering/Factories to find suitable solutions that align with customer requirements.- Address technical clarifications received for projects and participate in technical clarification processes.- Adhere to Trade Compliance and Ethics guidelines of Emerson.- Facilitate a smooth handover to project management based on different WA standards/procedures.- Lead projects and contribute to team initiatives.- Prepare final deliverables in compliance with Inhouse standards.**Qualifications:**- Degree in Engineering with 7 9 years of experience in the Automation Industry, with a focus on Inside Sales/Pre-sales quote activities/customer experience preferred.- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all staff levels.- Time management skills.- Drive for results and motivating others, including developing direct reports.- Effective communication skills.- Technical knowledge of Actuation Technologies products.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Bi).- Ability to collaborate effectively with outside sales teams and peers.- Experience with RFQ/Quote Tools and Sizing and Selection Tools.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.At Emerson, we value and empower our employees to grow within a workplace that fosters innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.
