Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE3) - Lead at Ramco Systems, you will be responsible for owning product/feature development end-to-end, from design to production deployment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to refine designs and drive implementation. Additionally, you will lead cloud-scale, event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and work with knowledge graphs (Neo4j). Your role will involve ensuring the security, cloud optimization, and performance of applications by owning vulnerability fixes and cloud cost tuning. You will also be expected to execute project plans and delivery commitments with a balance of speed and stability, and foster a high-performance engineering culture. Moreover, as a Lead, you will champion best practices in software engineering, including security, maintainability, CI/CD, and performance.Key Responsibilities:- Own product/feature development end-to-endfrom design to production deployment.- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to refine designs and drive implementation.- Lead cloud-scale, event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and work with knowledge graphs (Neo4j).- Ensure security, cloud optimization, and performance of applications by owning vulnerability fixes and cloud cost tuning.- Execute project plans and delivery commitments with a balance of speed and stability.- Foster a high-performance engineering culture.- Champion best practices in software engineeringsecurity, maintainability, CI/CD, and performance.Qualifications Required:- 7 to 10 years of professional software development experience.- Minimum 3 years of experience in system design, architecture, and building scalable services.- Proficiency in at least 1 programming language, 1 scripting language, and 1 frontend framework such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C, Vue.js with TypeScript, Node.js, .NET Core.- Demonstrated experience in interviewing, mentoring, and building high-performing engineering teams.- Strong database experience across both SQL and NoSQL systems.- Hands-on experience with cloud-native services, containerization, and serverless deployments.- Implementation of security best practices and direct ownership of vulnerability remediation.- Ownership over testing metrics, including unit test automation, integration testing, code coverage, and performance/NFR compliance.- Experience collaborating with product managers, architects, and delivery teams; Familiarity with patterns of performance optimization, distributed systems, and fault-tolerance.- Deep understanding AI-based expert systems.- Experience building data-driven systems with collaboration from data science and analytics teams.
