In this journey, Porting Center is committed to serving IT Customers by playing a significant role in modernizing IT applications to the GCP Platform across the enterprise. This involves serving numerous application teams to port their applications into a modern cloud platform. The Porting Center is a key technology refresh shop in Ford IT, supporting all PDO teams through various automation enablers to expedite GCP modernization.As a Technical Anchor, you will work with multiple PDO team tech SMEs, Vendor Partners, and Cloud Platform teams to follow opinionated technology standards of the enterprise. Your role will involve helping to land applications into a feature state as per the defined wave by the central program team. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong Java developer who embraces AI as a tool to enhance software development and application capabilities. Your focus will be on building production software systems that intelligently leverage AI, rather than developing AI/ML models. Experience with traditional software engineering practices, design patterns, and enterprise architecture is crucial, with AI serving as an accelerator and feature enhancer for business solutions.Your responsibilities will include:- Agile personality and Software Craftsmanship mindset for leading and influencing an Agile team, particularly for Enterprise Technology Refresh projects- Capabilities to lead a Technical Team on application modernization project engagements- Owning and leading end-to-end development of the application via front end to backend (server, deployment, configuration management, application, database, and security)- Leading a Technical Project, reviewing, and providing recommendations for adopting new features and core development tools consistent with Fords Enterprise IT direction- Researching new technologies, implementing enterprise technology shifts, and new trends impacting Ford application delivery- Conducting proof-of-concepts to support new features, ensuring quality, timely delivery using Agile practices- Delivering valuable, working, tested, quality software released at market speed- Interacting with the FBS Ford IT teams in development, migration, and support- Understanding and collaborating with Dev enablement/ITO/Engineering teams for support and adherence to Ford ITs architecture standards and processes within the department as appropriate- Ensuring the appropriate use of Ford IT processes, tools, and methodologies within the department- Advocating corporate standards in solution development and implementationQualifications required:- 5 years of overall IT industry experience including strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, hands-on experience in development in core Java 11/17/21, EE technologies, and a good understanding of design patterns- 4 years of experience in Springboot/Microservices and Angular Development (Angular 17/18)- Experience in Spring, JSF, RESTFUL/SOAP web services development in PCF/CaaS Cloud platforms- Strong UI/UX design and development skills, including Angular, JSON/XML, JUNIT- Experience in Enterprise SSO technologies like ADFS, SAML, and cloud-based securities- Good exposure to RDBMS and SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, etc.) and experience in handling ORM frameworks like Hibernate- Experience with agile software development methodologies like Agile SCRUM, TDD- Experience in Cloud Platforms like GCP/PCF/Openshift CaaS, with at least 1 public cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)- Strong experience in troubleshooting during migrating applications to the GCP Platform and resolving complex application challenges/issues- Expertise in implementing Google Cloud Platform and its native Services like GCP Cloudrun, Cloud Storage, Cloud Function, Cloud SQL, and Cloud SecurityAdditional Details:- Handling Dynatrace, Splunk, GCP Cloud Logging & Monitoring services, GCP Load balancer, GCP Cloud Armor, GCP PostgreSQL- Knowledge and experience designing and implementing SOA and API Governance with tools like WSSR, API Connect, APIGEE- Experience in handling Dev Sec Ops tools like Jenkins/Tekton, SonarQube, Checkmarx, FOSSA- Working experience in the legacy tech stack like Servlets/JSP, JSF, Struts, SOAPEducation:- Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science, Engineering field, or Business AdministrationOverall, you should have at least 5 years of professional experience with exposure to software development methodologies, quality assurance, and security & control procedures.
