Job Description

    As a Sustainability and Compliance Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in taking the supply chain expertise to the next level in a dynamic, project-driven environment. Your primary responsibility will be to drive Excellence across Sustainability, Compliance, Risk Mitigation, Regulatory topics, and align the internal businesses with the Statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities:- Develop knowledge in sustainability and regulatory compliance topics, understanding regulations and their impact on GA.- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) representing GA in Hitachi Energy BU level meetings, providing valuable input into discussions.- Foster good working relationships with the GA Global Product Groups (GPGs) and Hubs, by providing regular and ad hoc updates on sustainability topics and regulations.- Collaborate closely with the GA sustainability manager, compliance teams, and product managers to ensure compliance to regulations.- Coordinate activities on BU and Global projects to ensure timely and high-quality inputs.- Ensure GAs compliance with regulations, escalate any identified gaps, meet sustainability KPIs, and strive for best-in-class results across Hitachi Energy.- Support supplier risk management activities, including business risk and cybersecurity risk, as required.- Ability to create and analyze spreadsheets, work comfortably with data and ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Your Background:- Bachelors degree in any engineering discipline with 5 years of experience.- Knowledge in SAP is desirable.- Ability to work in cross-functional organizations and across cultures and countries.- Strong commercial and legal regulatory knowledge or willingness to learn.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.- Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability, structured, team-oriented, and results-driven.- Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.- Fluent in English (written and verbal).Additionally, Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, expecting you to take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.Please note that Hitachi Energy provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
