Vice President, Wealth & Retail Banking Finance

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be part of the Business Performance Operations (BPO) finance team that supports the Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) business. WRB operates globally with an annual revenue exceeding USD 7 billion and serves over 11 million clients in rapidly growing markets. Your role will involve working closely with finance colleagues to provide financial insights, track strategic initiatives, and support performance management within WRB.Key Responsibilities:- Execute strategic actions in collaboration with finance, business, and functional colleagues to drive business performance aligned with the Banks Strategic Priorities- Provide Management Information (MI) and financial data to facilitate strategic decision-making for the WRB Business- Collaborate with senior finance colleagues to support WRB performance management reporting and analytics- Conduct analytical reviews of financials, including comparisons vs budget and analysis of monthly variances- Prepare product and segment packs/reports to aid in decision-making- Support continuous process improvement, standardization of procedures, and implementation of a robust control framework- Work with finance colleagues to ensure smooth operations and cooperation- Manage operational risks and take proactive measures to address and manage potential risks- Support Governance framework around Standard MI, internal controls, policy adherence, and risk appetite- Display exemplary conduct, adhere to regulatory and business conduct standards, and escalate compliance matters effectively- Collaborate with key stakeholders including WRB Group Financial Planning & Analysis teams, WRB BPO Country, Product and Segment teams, and WRB BPO Country LeadQualifications Required:- Minimum of 12 years of experience (post qualification) in Financial Planning & Analytics- Proficiency in financial analysis, banking products, data analytics, forecasting, performance management, balance sheet management, risk management, people management, external reporting, strategy & execution, risk & controls, and regulatory & compliance- Qualifications such as MBA, CA, CFA, ACCA are preferredAbout the Company:Standard Chartered is an international bank committed to making a positive impact for clients, communities, and employees.
