Job Description

Role Title/Designation - Assistant / Associate ProfessorDepartment - School of Design (Preference Will be Given to those who have taught before)

• To Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Provide instruction on how to obtain a job in the Industry as Industrial Designer, Product Designer, Furniture Designer, Toy Designer
• Teach students how to communicate using clear, concise language.
• Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
• Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
• Read and stay abreast of current topics in Product/Industrial Design.
• Create lesson plans.
• Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
• Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

Academic Success:

• To identify new industry and students needs and business both in the India and International markets.
• Appropriately supports in the industry placements of out-going students &supporting in campus interviews where ever possible.
• To ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
• To work towards the satisfaction of students, families and employers to ensure academic quality.

Social Projection

• To promote actions designed to improve the schools recognition and prestige
• To take part actively in academic and professional forums.
• To impulse R&D Projects in areas with a relevant social impact.
• To foster the schools relationship with key professionals, companies, and institutions in the relevant professional sectors
• To prepare the teachers notebook and revise syllabi/curriculum enrichment and assessment calendar.
• To design and administer assessment briefs and to assess students
• To conduct and supervise tutorial, workshop, practical & lab work
• To advise, mentor, counsel students
• To guide projects, collections, dissertations, etc.
• To stay current with regard to the subject/literature in assigned areas of specialization(s)
• To be conversant with pedagogic principles of learning
• To be adept at state-of-art instructional methodologies and techniques
• To be conversant with computers and related professional software
• To develop teaching/learning materials, resources
• To generate scholarly/creative outputs in the form of papers, books, designs, exhibits, artifacts, models, etc.
• To be engaged in the generation of new knowledge by experimentation, exploration applied research
• To develop proposals for funding/external support
• To engage in training & development, consultancy activities for industry benefit.
• To appear/participate in professional capacities at seminars/conferences
• To up-grade qualifications as advised to engage in administrative chores concerning courses, programs, institutional matters, as arising from work or as specially assigned
• To provide required reports, documentation promptly and timely
• To undergo training and professional development to upgrade skills
• To participate in meetings/interactions as arising out of assigned work or as called for/to
• To travel in India/Abroad in the course of discharge of duties and responsibilities
• To carry out faculty duties as specified in other institutions in India or Abroad with which PA has technical co-operation/collaboration
• To report to supervising authorities such as course coordinator /course leader/head of department/advisor academics/ director as and how necessary
• To maintain confidentiality regarding all Academic & Administration documents, MOUs & Agreements, procedures, systems and processes of the Institutions / Academy.
• To attend the working days of the institute regularly and punctually
• To observe all rules and regulations as applicable / as per GSR.
• To perform and deliver quality output with utmost sincerity.
• To undergo performance evaluation as per applicable rules.
• To discharge higher responsibilities commensurate with experience and maturity
• To maintain industry and professional liaison
• To arrange for / facilitate internships, projects in the industry for students to engage in.
