Job Description

  • Principal duties include a demonstrated proficiency in multiple area of expertise such as digital print technologies, hand book binding, letterpress, hand papermaking and printmaking. Consideration will be given to candidates who have a background in digital print practices, and the ability to teach across Printmaking disciplines. The successful candidate will:
  • -Build and maintain a studio practice at a nationally recognized level.
  • -Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to students.
  • -Teach undergraduate and graduate students (Non-Majors, Certificate, Majors: Bachelor in fine Arts and Master in Fine Arts
  • -Serve on graduate committees with BFA and MFA candidates.
  • -Work collegially in a three-person Printmaking area within a large vibrant Art Department.
  • -Participate in service activities at the local, state, and national level as well as the University.
  • -Maintain an active studio practice of nationally recognized quality, at a level that will meet tenure expectations at a research institution.
  • -Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in a wide range/variety of Book Art, Papermaking & Printmaking art practices as well as working with graduate students from across the Department and serving and MFA graduate committees.
  • -Have the opportunity to teach special topics classes to graduate and undergraduate students.
  • 11-Engage in service activities at the university, local, state, and national level.Meet the teaching, research, and service expectations of the department and university.
  • 12-Advise and mentor graduate students within an interdisciplinary Art Department.
  • 13-Oversee the Book Art and Papermill studio laboratories and serve and part of a highly ranked printmaking area within the art department.
  • -Teach undergraduate and graduate students (Non-Majors, Certificate, Majors:BFA and MFA).
  • -Serve on graduate committees with BFA and MFA candidates.
  • -Work collegially in a three-person Printmaking area within a large vibrant Art Department.
  • -Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in a wide range/variety of Book Art, Papermaking & Printmaking art practices as well as working with graduate students from across the Department and serving and MFA graduate committees.
  • -Have the opportunity to teach special topics classes to graduate and undergraduate students.
  • -Meet the teaching, research, and service expectations of the department and university.
  • -Demonstrate an active commitment to the continued growth and development of the undergraduate and graduate program and community.
  • -Advise and mentor graduate students within an interdisciplinary Art Department.
