Job Description

  • Understand client requirements based on relevant scoping of the project before initiating
  • Exploring existing and new drug databases, literature and pharma websites for specified target and its related disease area, as provided by client.
  • To capture relevant information on target of interest with relevance to safety pharmacology and efficacy, identify the current competitor space for the target to support drug discovery.
  • Understand and capture information on types of drugs, its properties such as nature, PK-PD, dose, ROA, regimen, stability and overall pharmacology.
  • Critical analysis of target related information compiled from various sources and support in providing target intelligence to client.
  • Hands-on work on dossier preparation, based on client need and specification.
  • Critical self-review and peer review of client document in terms of scientific content and formatting.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
  • M.Sc/ M.S/M.Tech in cell biology/ biochemistry/ life sciences/ immunology/ biotechnology.
  • Additional diploma or experience in related field such as bioinformatics/ content writing is an advantage
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-6 yrs of work experience after completion of post-graduation.
  • Scientific writing capability
  • Related hands on experience in pharma R and D with relevance to drug discovery is an added advantage.
TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL SKILL:
  • Basic understanding on target biology with relevance to safety and efficacy aspects of drug discovery.
  • Familiar with concepts of biochemical signaling pathways, knowledge on drug discovery process and immunology.
  • Knowledge of immunology/biologics, especially in the field of immuno-oncology (IO)
  • Knowledge on relevance of target validation assays, such as in-vitro, in-vivo and ex-vivo against a biopharmaceutical/ biological target
  • Basic knowledge on target/drug safety assessment and their significance in drug discovery pipeline and regulatory guidelines
  • Critical analysis and interpretation of published research findings
  • Preparation of scientific reports/documents
BEHAVIORAL/MANAGERIAL SKILLS:
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with team members; interaction with other teams for integrated projects and for enhancement of personal skills
  • A proactive team player with inclination to learn new concepts, suggest improvements and support team.
  • Ability to independently handle task, prioritize work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision; comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing requirements.
  • Good oral, writing and presentation skills in business and scientific context to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
