JOB DESCRIPTION To assess the patients on admission. To take detailed history and physically examine the patient. To be responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant. To obtain required Consent from patient or patient s surrogate whenever / wherever required. To assist in the OT sessions of the consultants for whom they are posted. To visit patients in the wards and assess them for treatment as deemed fit by his / her consultant and review them regularly. To complete the In-Patient rounds every day and fill the case sheets and progress notes without fail as per the guidelines. To be responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised by Consultant. To check and sign the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications considering all precautions. To write and maintain patient medical records as per hospital policy. To prepare the discharge summaries well in time and brief the patient about the follow-up and medications on discharge, etc. To do call duties and to attend surgical patients in the wards when on duty. To follow the hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensure the safest possible environment for patients and staff. To be an active member for the quality initiatives of the department. To oversee the clinical work of junior medical staff of his / her clinical unit.,
