Job Description

Job Description Primary Responsibilities

  • 1st primary responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing yearly strategic plans based on financial goals that will promote sales growth & client satisfaction.
  • Facilitates the support of hotel sales with segment specialists across Sports & Entertainment, Corporate, Trade, Airlines, Leisure, Meeting & Events, Digital, Loyalty, Marketing and CRM (ANAIS) in line with budgeted performance objectives.
  • Development, improvement and dotted reporting of on property sales teams to meet overall hotel objectives.
  • Contributing towards the hotel Revenue s team functionality in terms of evaluating performance and strategic planning for each of the hotels.
  • Determines Sales strategy & sales budgets, in conjunction with hotel management.
  • Liaise with regional sales & marketing departments to implement and drive performance within search engine marketing (SEM) and digital marketing.
  • Communication of hotel marketing activity plans to execute content and distribution.
  • Identifying and execute profitable opportunities for the hotels through destination and commercial relationships.
  • Support the communication and performance of Loyalty : ALL & ALL Meeting Planner
  • Coordinate ibis Digital strategy using levers of respective channels with ROI perspective.
  • Host or attend network events, profiling the relevant hotels and management.
  • Monitor competitors within the region and assess relevance to current sell strategies.
  • Contribute to a month end sales report & quarterly owners report, detailing new & confirmed business, conversions and market analysis and forecast.
  • Formal monthly meetings Director of Operations, Owners and/or Asset managers to provide a top line overview of forward activity.
  • Responsible to drive the Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Loyalty and Revenue performance and activities, leading the vertical ibis team
Financial Responsibilities/Duties
  • Assist in the development of the hotel annual business plan and Financial Budget; use this as a guide to control expenditure during the financial year as well as the Purchase Order System and inventory controls.
  • Proactively control costs by being aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability, whilst maintaining standards. Other Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all customers (internal and external).
  • Take a positive problem solving approach with issues and concerns.
  • Embrace the concepts and principles of Heartist.
  • Participate in Planet 21 sustainability Actions and activities.
  • Attend training programs and meetings to constantly improve skills and knowledge.

  • Do not divulge any corporate information or transactions during or after your employment with the company. Maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Actively participate in safe work practices: report accidents promptly, and report health and safety hazards, maintain clean work areas, be compliant with fire/emergency/evacuation actions and report all damaged and broken equipment.
Work Experience Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Operation, Sales & Marketing in hotel industry
  • Builds, develops & manages internal & external owner & industry relationships
  • Strong user knowledge of ANAIS ( Salesforce.com) Microsoft Excel and Power point
  • Masters in Business Administration in the related stream.
  • Hotel management will give a additional value to it.
