Job Description

    * Technician- Cath Lab To assist the Doctor in the Catheterization procedure.To receive the patients and prepare him / her for the test.To operate the machines.To develop the films.To prepare the reports.To prepare the daily statements of the cases handled & send them to billing.To maintain liaison with wards and Bio-Medical department.To maintain the following registers:Case wise registers.Patient wise registers.Oxygen saturation cases.To be responsible for problem solving & trouble shooting.To keep account of the inputs & outputs.To train the junior technicians on the professional input.To maintain cleanliness & hygiene.To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.To be aware of departments performance and objectives.To carry out data collection/support in data collection.To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.To ensure all the employees are trained/oriented about the quality systems of the department.Departmental specific quality & patient safety indicators.Participate in departmental specific quality improvement.Follow correct procedure for patient identification and communication of patient information following SBAR.To have appropriate knowledge in correct use and maintenance of Biomedical equipment in the work areaTo provide all infection control practices including device related care, isolation precautions and proper wards segregation.Not authorized to prescribe or administer any medicine.Medication if any should be handled by nursing staff.,
