Job Description

    Role Overview:You will lead the end-to-end equipment and material sourcing for a greenfield semiconductor assembly and testing facility. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring uninterrupted availability, quality, compliance, and cost effectiveness of direct and indirect materials required for process qualification, ramp-up, and steady-state production. Your role is crucial in building a resilient and compliant equipment and materials supply ecosystem from scratch, covering a wide range of tools and materials required for semiconductor manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiate long-term contracts, and secure critical equipment and material supply.- Develop category strategies for different toolsets, establish total cost of ownership models, and work on logistics and customs to set export control pathways.- Lead supplier identification, qualification, and onboarding for all OSAT equipment and materials.- Negotiate contracts to secure critical equipment, spare parts, and service agreements, covering quality guarantees, supply continuity, and confidentiality.- Ensure day-1 readiness for all line qualification materials, build ramp-synchronized equipment and material plans, and establish spares strategies for startup and sustaining phases.- Oversee equipment planning, sourcing, installation, and maintenance support, as well as inventory management and distribution across multiple geographies.- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, develop alternate supply strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.- Own the equipment capex and OPEX models, manage risks, and ensure governance in procurement processes.- Champion automation, analytics, and sustainability initiatives in the supply chain, ensure compliance with global regulations, and lead cross-functional collaboration within the organization.- Develop a high-performance commercial sourcing team, build organization capacity and capability, and drive talent development and succession planning.Qualification Required:- Bachelors degree in engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or related field. Masters degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.- 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 7 years in leadership roles.- Proven track record in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industries, expertise in global procurement, supplier negotiations, and risk management.- Strong knowledge of semiconductor assembly test equipment and materials, global trade regulations, and compliance standards.- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive transformation initiatives and deliver measurable business impact.Additional Details:Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group focused on manufacturing precision components.
