As a 3rd Line Security Engineer at BT Group, your role is crucial in providing support and delivering infrastructure in Enterprise Managed Services (EMS). You are expected to be innovative, engaging, and driven, with a proven record of achievement and experience in collaborating across teams of highly skilled technical experts.**Role Overview:**- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using F5 technologies and other security tools to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.- Configure and maintain F5 LTM and GTM solutions to optimize traffic distribution, enhance security, and ensure high availability of applications.- Implement and manage F5 ASM to protect web applications from various threats, including DDoS attacks and OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain security policies aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to enhance the organizations security posture.- Create, maintain, and document security policies, processes, and procedures related to F5 technologies and overall security operations.- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on security best practices and the proper use of security tools.**Key Responsibilities:**- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.- 7 years of experience in security operations or a similar role, with a focus on F5 technologies.- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with F5 LTM, GTM, ASM, and Big-IP.- Familiarity with other security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS, and SIEM systems.- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, F5 Certified) are highly desirable.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively under pressure.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.If youre excited about this role but your past experience doesnt align perfectly with every requirement on the Job Description, please apply anyway - you may just be the right candidate for this or other roles in our wider team.
