As a Senior Principal Architect at Getronics, you will have the exciting opportunity to play a key role in the strategic migration of enterprise customer base from legacy VMware architectures to the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP). Your primary responsibility will be to define the architecture, build the migration factory, and lead the execution of moving complex workloads from vSphere to Nutanix AHV. Your deep expertise in cross-hypervisor migration, Nutanix AOS/AHV performance tuning, and infrastructure modernization will be crucial for the successful transformation.**Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**- **Strategic Architecture & Leadership** - Define the Target State: Architect secure, scalable, and multi-tenant solutions on Nutanix Cloud Platform to replace legacy VMware environments. - Migration Strategy: Develop a comprehensive Migration Factory methodology for assessing, grouping, and migrating thousands of VMs from ESXi to AHV. - Technical Authority: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for all technical issues related to Nutanix implementation and cluster design. - Mentorship: Upskill the existing operations team on Nutanix AHV, Prism, and Flow to enhance the overall Nutanix capability.- **Hands-on Execution (The Builder Role)** - Infrastructure Build: Lead the deployment and configuration of Nutanix clusters on Dell hardware for optimal performance and high availability. - Migration Execution: Oversee and execute complex migrations using Nutanix Move, ensuring smooth transitions and troubleshooting any issues. - Interoperability: Design and implement networking fabric required to connect legacy environments with new target landing zones.- **Customer Engagement** - Solution Defence: Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Account Management to present migration roadmap to enterprise customers and validate technical integrity. - Workload Assessment: Conduct thorough discovery of customer environments to identify dependencies and risks during migration.**Required Skills & Qualifications:**- **Core Competencies (Must Have)** - Nutanix Expertise: Mastery of Nutanix stack, particularly Nutanix AHV, AOS, and Prism Central. - Migration Mastery: Hands-on experience with Nutanix Move for V2V migration. - VMware Deep Dive: Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, NSX). - Hardware: Experience with Dell Infrastructure and software-defined storage concepts.**Certifications (Highly Preferred):**- Nutanix Certified Master (NCM) - Multicloud Infrastructure (MCI).- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) with significant field experience.- VMware Certifications: VCAP (Design/Deploy) or VCDX.**Experience Profile:**- Minimum 15 years of IT Infrastructure experience.- 5-7 years of experience in designing and implementing Hyper Converged Infrastructure, with a focus on Nutanix.- Proven track record of leading migrations to Nutanix AHV in large-scale environments.- Experience in MSP or large enterprise environments with multi-tenancy and strict SLAs.By taking on this role, you will not be in a maintenance position but rather an architect spearheading a significant modernization initiative.
