Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be a Diploma Mechanical Engineer supporting R&D and product development activities including prototype development, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems. Your role will involve interpreting engineering drawings, coordinating with vendors for part manufacturing, and assisting in design validation and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for inspecting manufactured components, assisting in installations at client sites, and traveling for on-site activities.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in prototype development, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems.- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models for fabrication and assembly.- Coordinate with machine shops, fabrication vendors, and suppliers for part manufacturing.- Visit vendor workshops and fabrication units to follow up on manufacturing progress and quality.- Procure raw materials and standard components from industrial suppliers and markets.- Support engineers in design validation, testing, and troubleshooting.- Inspect manufactured components for basic dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.- Assist in the installation of mechanical systems at client sites.- Travel for on-site installation, maintenance, and part replacement activities.- Maintain records of materials, fabrication status, and prototype builds.- Provide feedback from the shop floor and field to improve design practicality.Qualification Required:- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and basic CAD models.- Basic knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.- Hands-on experience with tools, mechanical assemblies, and workshop practices.- Familiarity with standard mechanical components (fasteners, bearings, shafts, etc.).- Good understanding of measurement tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).- Ability to coordinate with vendors and suppliers.- Willingness to travel frequently for vendor visits and site work.About Company:GenElek Technologies Private Limited is a budding startup in the field of assistive robots.
