Job Description

    Data is a key priority and focus for the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to strategize, influence and execute on a diverse set of initiatives & mandates across businesses.We seek a top-talent Data Lead/Head for Client Onboarding & Documentation.The individual will lead Data definition, strategy and multiple related data initiatives and programs across the Client Onboarding & Documentation, with few of them across lines of business (LoB) for the firm. The individual will work with teams across the CIB, Sales Data Office and other LoBs, overseeing delivery of a select number of initiatives, whilst playing an active data-centric role in multiple initiatives as well as establishing BAU framework, governance, teams and related activities. The role will require executing on multiple priorities simultaneously. Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) J.P. Client Onboarding & Documentation organization is responsible for Client On-boarding life-cycle across the Wholesale client segment for the firm and comprises of various delivery organisations like, Client Tax Operations, Digital Documentation Services and Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO). Streamlining, digitizing and consuming documents and data, in a manner that is standardized, scalable, accessible and controlled is primary goal, especially through the technology platforms used across these services. Role responsibilities: At JPMorgan, we believe it is important for the Data function to be multi-disciplinary. This requires that individual demonstrates the ability to operate across a diverse team and expand the area of influence beyond traditional data management .
    • Design & deliver on Data Strategy & execution, including Data Definitions, Architecture, Data Management, Logical Data Modelling, Lineage setups and applicable models
    • Building & leverage Data for Re-use, Decisioning, Forecasting, Commercialization, Subscriber modelling and related technologies & tool-sets
    • Ideate, influence & execute on commerciality using Data as an offense strategy
    • Ensure consistent-to-similar approach to the firm wide Data Strategy charter & working closely with the Sales/Front office Data Office (CDO) on Data alignment & strategy.
    • Define and implement a framework for mapping out an inventory of data management obligations aligned to capabilities
    • Lead the business in implementing data ownership.
    • Drive effective prioritization of work to meet Data deliverables, while maintaining focus on stability and scalability
    • Drive Data Quality Strategy and execute with overall goal to drive business value from better quality data
    • Lead & facilitate technical direction and decision making by ensuring engagement across architecture, product, operations, controls, technology, and other impacted platforms/systems
    • Help drive our strategic vision of enabling data use while protecting data as an asset to the firm, and help promote this culture with the business
    • Stay abreast of developing any localization requirements and ensure capabilities adapt accordingly
    • Partner closely with capability leads, businesses functions, controls (Ops, Tech & Data) as the strategy, framework and execution is progressed
    • Define and execute appropriate training, awareness, and communication strategy/campaign
    • Deliver results through others, leveraging the ability to lead through influence performance measured on outcomes
    • Present a holistic, aggregated view of all aspects of data risk and emerging control issues to senior management and governance committees
    Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated experience in managing end to end Data Strategy, execution & delivery environments, one with large/diverse data sets, re-use, decisioning outcomes.
    • Technical in-depth experience in building & leveraging Data for Re-use, Decisioning, Forecasting, Commercialization, Subscriber modelling, Market sourcing and related technologies & tool-sets
    • Strong understanding across meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and solutions
    • Strong understanding & experience in Data Science leverage, Technology tool-sets & development, including leverage, deployment of AI/ML models/solutions.
    • Strong organizational management, relationship building skills, given wide interfacing required with stakeholders at various levels of responsibility.
    • Should be well versed with latest cloud and data management trends, including open-source projects, methodologies (Data connect-collect-manage, Data re-use/distribution design/solutions etc)
    • Master s or Bachelor s degree in related technical/business areas &/or equivalent work experience.
    • Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and guide virtual multi-cultural teams
    • Flexibility to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
