Job Description

    JD of PM The Project Manager (PM) has the overall authority and responsibility for managing the assigned project for all activities related to the project.Pre-requisite of PM:
    • Experience of working in implementation of CMMI DEV and/or SVC processes.
    • Experience in project metrics as per CMMI practices.
    • Minimum total experience of working around 10 years. Out of this exposure of working as PM minimum 3 years.
    • Experience of facing the interview during CMMI Appraisal.
    Tasks to be performed by Project Manager include:
    • Taking over the project during project initiation
    • Planning the project by tailoring the processes and work environment and using any data and/or knowledge repository available in the organization
    • Ensuring that the technical processes to be used to translate the requirements into deliverables are defined and integrated into the projects process and in planning, monitoring and control
    • Initiating other project related planning
    • Ensuring that project and related plans are reviewed and are consistent
    • Monitoring and controlling project execution using the project management plan and related plans
    • Monitoring and controlling project acquisition activities
    • Identifying the Configuration Controller (CC) and participating in configuration management activities and related reviews
    • Planning and executing measurement & analysis activities for the project
    • Planning and executing requirements management activities for the project
    • Using formal decision-making process for significant decisions
    • Ensuring ongoing risk management to identify and handle risks
    • Ensuring that corrective actions are identified and tracked to closure in a timely manner
    • Supporting project team members in performing their roles effectively
    • Interfacing with the client as required for engineering and management activities
    • Keeping the Senior Management informed of the project status through management review of projects and other reporting mechanisms
    • Ensuring that issues and non-compliances found in process evaluation and reviews are resolved
    • Coordinating with other groups, such as sales, human resources, systems and admin, quality, for meeting the needs of the project
    • Help in defining the CMMI Engineering processes, guidelines, templates
    • Able to conduct the training on CMMI processes to the team
    • Gather the project metrics, do the analysis of the metrices and present to the management
    • Share the project data with analysis to the SEPG (Software Engineering Process Group)
    • Performing project closure activities and contributing project artifacts and data to repositories available in the organization
