Job Description

*

  1. Read P&IDs, PFDs and/ or process description to conceptualize process model as well as strategy for process control
  2. Use simulation software as well as utilities available to implement and test process models
  3. Read and understand cause and effect diagrams and/or logic and control narratives to conceptualize and implement as well as test emulation of logic
  4. Develop graphical user interface for simulation application using available software tools and utilities
  5. Generate required project documentation
  6. Assist lead engineer in generation, integration as well as testing of deliverables for project or proposals
  7. Assist lead engineer during acceptance testing of deliverables
  8. Report progress, status and issues to supervisor on a weekly basis
  9. Demonstrate technology offerings as well as project deliverables to customers and third parties for acceptance or during pre-sales phases of projects
  10. Assist sales team through setting up and conducting demonstration of offering during events and roadshows
  11. Carry out any other activity related to project or proposal engineering per instructions from supervisor
  12. Participate on any organizational initiative/ project in a role as specified by supervisor or management
  13. Ability to learn and willingness to abide by core values of Emerson

  1. Ability to read, write and speak with adequate proficiency in English
  2. Ability to work with a team towards successful delivery of project or proposal
  3. Ability to work with adequate proficiency with MS Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel , MS Powerpoint and Visio
  4. Ability and willingness to undergo technical as well as soft skills training as assigned by supervisor
  5. Ability and willingness to travel and live at any location globally, for short/ medium/ long term per requirements of project or pre-sale phase of project
  6. Mandatory : B.Tech/ B.E. in Chemical Engineering/ Petrochemical Engineering/ Petroleum EngineeringPreferred : Post Graduate qualification in Chemical Engineering/ Petrochemical Engineering/ Petroleum EngineeringWork Experience:Preferred : 1 to 4 years in the fields of process simulation or operator training simulator configuration OR process plant operations (preferably refinery/ oil & gas or petrochemical industries.Exposure to distributed control systems (DCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS) as a user/ configuration/ integration with simulation software
