Job Description

Role Overview:As a Quality Engineer at Costco Wholesale India, you will be a key member of the Costco GDX Web Development team, responsible for validating functional and nonfunctional requirements through automation and manual quality testing. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality bar for the member experience across various digital touchpoints within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your focus will be on driving automation efforts and ensuring a high level of quality for every application and solution within the Online Ecommerce landscape.Key Responsibilities:- Define the testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced functionality implemented by teams.- Collaborate with team members to decompose functional and nonfunctional requirements into test scripts and scenarios.- Define the automating testing approach/strategy for a given product/application in collaboration with the product team.- Implement and maintain automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts; execute them and analyze the results.- Develop comprehensive test data management solutions and leverage automation throughout the test process.- Create documentation of testing requirements, strategies, and procedures.- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project implementation with a high-quality bar.- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.- Provide guidance and support on best practices for test automation.- Drive adoption of standards and best practices for software testing, test development, and automation.- Coordinate the resolution of internal and external dependencies across value streams and shared services.- Abide by software quality assurance standards, processes, and controls related to the Software Development Life Cycle.- Provide accurate estimates for projects, including QE resourcing and testing schedules.- Collaborate with onshore, offshore, and project team members as needed for project success.- Mentor and guide team members to increase skills and knowledge in software testing.Qualifications Required:- Passion for solving complex problems at a global scale.- Strong experience in automation testing and quality assurance.- Proficiency in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive automation efforts.- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test data management.- Familiarity with software quality assurance standards and best practices.- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.(Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
