Job Description

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer for AI Assistants & Agents at Cargill, your role is pivotal in building and managing services for the companys portfolio of Gen AI Assistants and Agents. You will be responsible for translating product requirements into secure, efficient, and observable services, managing the lifecycle from experiment to production, and continuously improving reliability, latency, and cost. Your typical deliverables will include REST services, vector-search back end, LLMOps & Agent Ops pipelines, and rich front-end components for knowledge workers and plant operators. Collaboration with product managers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and security teams will be a daily routine, where you will act as the technical authority for Gen AI feature design and launch.Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop high-quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient codes.- Lead the application of internal software deployment platform, methodologies, and tools to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.- Partner with a cross-functional team to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.- Write and maintain complex unit tests and integration tests, and perform debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software.- Suggest options for improving the software development and deployment processes and implement approved standards to enhance efficiency and reliability.- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes, and system configurations.- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.Additional Company Details:- Cargill is a global leader in the agriculture, food, and nutrition industry, dedicated to nourishing the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way.Qualifications:- Minimum of 4 years of experience in building production software or data platforms.- Typical experience ranges from 5 to 8 years, including 2 years with cloud-native AI/ML or Gen AI systems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) or 2 years of software development.As a Senior AI Platform Engineer at Cargill, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing services for the companys Gen AI Assistants and Agents.
