Job Description

    In this role you will have an opportunity to make a big impact by helping build a global development & support team that excels in delighting our customers. This role specializes in performing and enabling development and support of IBM software, hardware, and solutions.As an API Connect SAAS Engineer, you will:
    • Design/architect software solutions to solve complex problems for backend components/distributed systems
    • Exercise best practices in agile development and software engineering. Code, unit test, debug and perform integration tests of software components
    • Develop software tools for automation, effective debugging, performance analysis and load/stress testing, recommend software solutions to improve the product.
    • Participate in software design reviews, code reviews and project planning.
    • Mentor and train other members of the team.
    • Provide troubleshooting and technical advice for API Connect customers
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to customers that are geographically distributed
    • Write and review documentation and technical blog posts.
    • Produce coherent knowledge base articles to enable customers to resolve issues without further escalation
    • Use technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution
    • Communicate action plans to the client or IBM representative as appropriate
    • Recommend and implement new or improvements to existing tools, procedures, and processes
    • Contribute to department attainment of organizational objectives and high client satisfactionTo be successful, you will need:

    • Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge to advise and lead customers who are developing enterprise mobile applications

    • Agile development experienceWhat we look for:
    • Hands on experience in Cloud Development (Kubernetes, OpenShift and AWS) and programing Language (Go ,TypeScript, Node JS and React ) strongly preferred.
    • Proven Linux command line and/or system administration skills, windows administration experience a big plus.
    • BE/B Tech in Computer Science or relevant and 7 to 8+ years track record in development technical support or in a customer facing role working with enterprise software
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Experience in Node.js and React .
    • Experience in Kubernetes and Container deployments
    • Experience in Golang and the Operator Framework.
    • Security experience Familiarity with secure development and deployment best practices, User Authentication with OIDC
    • Experience Postgres or other relational database
    • 3 or more years experience in and a track record in technical support or in a customer facing role working with enterprise software
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Experience in Linux command line and/or system administration
    • Any cloud platform(AWS or IBM Cloud)
    • RedHat OpenShift
    • Continuous Integration / Deployment technologies such as Jenkins , Argocd and Terraform
