Job Description

    Senior Frontend Engineer - Application Platforms & ServicesAs a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of the user interface of a cloud service to enable event driven applications, leverage existing components, and be involved in key architectural and design decisions. What you will do
    • Design and develop enhancements for new and existing UI features
    • Implement and improve user interfaces with Red Hat PatternFly design system
    • Produce well-designed and maintainable software; showcase it via live demos and participate in code reviews
    • Effectively communicate with project team members to ensure proper visibility into development efforts
    • Serve as part of an agile and globally distributed product development team
    • Ensure ongoing quality of the application code bases through bug fixes, refactoring, and test automation
    • Collaborate with other developers across multiple teams and technologies
    What you will bring
    • Experience with modern front-end libraries like ReactJS and XState
    • Good working knowledge of web technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
    • Working knowledge of bundling technologies like webpack, rollup.js etc.
    • Experience with testing libraries e.g Jest and React Testing Library
    • Experience developing web applications using a design system like Patternfly or related
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Being comfortable working in a remote-first, globally distributed team
    The following are considered a plus
    • Presentation skills and public speaking skills for conferences and demonstrations
    • Passion for solving challenging problems and working with emerging technologies
    • Experience with agile development methodologies
