As an experienced Frontend Developer, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping intuitive, resilient, and performant frontend experiences that contribute to a platform with real-world impact. You will be responsible for developing user-facing applications, bringing strong coding skills with a systems-thinking mindset, and co-designing a sustainable, scalable frontend architecture. Additionally, you will have the chance to work with AI-supported coding techniques.Key Responsibilities:- Feature Development & Architecture: Build secure, performant, and elegant frontend applications. Design and implement new features to ensure a smooth user experience and scalable architecture.- Code Quality & Performance: Write clean, efficient code and advocate for best practices in testing, performance optimization, and maintainability.- Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team including design, GIS, geo-analytics, AI, and DevOps. Occasionally engage in scientific and technical problem-solving beyond programming.- Mentoring: Share your expertise with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning.Qualifications Required:- Frontend Development: Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.- Frameworks & Libraries: Strong skills in Vue.js (Vuex, Nuxt) or React, with bonus points for experience in mapping libraries (Mapbox GL, Leaflet, Google Maps) and UI frameworks like Vuetify.- Styling: Proficiency in SASS/SCSS and utility-first frameworks like Tailwind.- Backend Collaboration: Comfortable working with Node.js/Express APIs and data flow.- Other Skills: Familiarity with pre-rendering and Agile workflows.- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional frontend development experience.This is a 100% remote position with flexible arrangements.
