Job Description

Solutions Engineer Aligning technical strategy with business goals has become paramount, and a Solutions Engineer can help determine, develop, and improve technical solutions in support of user business goals. A Solutions Engineer helps bridge communication between product development and business to ensure everyone is aligned in creating and implementing technical solutions for business problems. The process requires regular feedback, adjustments, and problem-solving to properly design and implement potential solutions.A Solutions Engineer works closely with the Solutions Architect and other Solutions Engineers to balance various aspects of the project, from safety to design. Additionally, a Solutions Engineer researches advanced technologies and approaches regarding best practices in the field. A Solutions Engineer works alongside other professionals to bring their plans to life. Individuals with a firm holistic understanding of both the operational and project delivery aspects of infrastructure tend to excel in this position. Responsibilities:
• Work with the Solution Architect, Product team, and colleagues across every business unit to foster new industry solutions from ideation to commercialization (Ideation, Definition, Prototyping, Design, User Acceptance, Commercialization)
• Keep abreast of current tools, technologies, and key product announcements
• Support the team in the rollout of new industry solution offerings including staff training
• Support effort to create awareness of the portfolio of Bentley products, services, and technologies to deliver the best possible solution to address targeted workflows
• Support strategic user projects to validate new solutions, workflows, and commercial offerings
• Work with sales to qualify industry solution opportunities
• Support pre-sales efforts including creation of sales enablement materials as well as conducting demonstrations to prospective users
• Collaborate with User Success colleagues to successfully implement solutions and ensure that they are repeatable
• Support the team in establishing and promoting referenceable solution architectures
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in solution engineering or consultancy experience with 5+ overall years of experience, ideally in the AEC industry
• Ability to create compelling presentations, marketing materials, and solution demos
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning, design & engineering, construction, and operational workflows
Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements ). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions. Personal Traits and Skills:
