Job Description

  • You will bring deep experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and Development leadership to client facing solution skills which are among the best in the industry.
  • In conjunction with IBM Distinguished Engineers and other key leaders, you would also provide guidance to the larger global Community of Practice (CoP) in their area and drive important community supported projects.
  • You will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be brought to bear by the wider IBM audience through development of best in class reusable assets often using state-of-the-art technologies on First of a Kind projects.
  • The success of this role would be benchmarked globally with industry peers. Excellent practice and knowledge on Cloud based software development and tools, consummate thought leadership, constant innovation and contribution to development of industry standards would be some of the key result areas in addition to meeting business metrics for the respective areas.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 4+ years overall professional experience and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows / Apple / Linux desktop operating systems, components and configuration.
  • Expertise in software packaging tools (e.g., InstallShield, Admin Studio, App V, ThinApp, XenApp)
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., VBS, Perl, Batch Scripting and PowerShell).
  • Experience in Virtualization Platforms (e.g., VMware ESX/Workstation, Hyper-V, VirtualBox)
  • Proven ability in software distribution tools (e.g., SCCM, Radia, IEM, WSUS, Altiris)
  • In-depth knowledge to manage and produce MSI packages from legacy applications and create transform files for vendor based MSI s

  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Excellent teamwork skills balanced with the ability to work independently
  • Proven interpersonal skills and have basic knowledge office tools (e.g., Excel) for collecting and manipulating distribution results.
