Job Description

As a Senior Reliability Engineer at EY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and reliability of IT solutions by applying software engineering principles. Your deep software engineering experience will be utilized to design, build, deploy, and manage IT solutions, aiming to optimize cost, improve business resilience, and enhance predictability and reliability.**Key Responsibilities:**- Define SLA/SLO/SLI for a product/service- Incorporate resilient design and implementation practices into solutions throughout their lifecycle- Automate manual effort through the development of automated processes and services- Develop Observability Solutions to track, report, and measure SLA adherence- Optimize the cost of IT Infrastructure and Operations- Manage critical situations effectively- Automate SOP/Runbook to reduce manual effort- Perform data analytics and system trend analysis**Qualifications Required:**- 7 years of experience in software product engineering principles, processes, and systems- Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, web servers, application servers, and major RDBMS like Oracle- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) and IaC tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible)- Experience in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) and reliability tools- Familiarity with Linux operating system, performance monitoring, and observability tools- Knowledge of application design patterns, J2EE application architectures, and cloud-native architectures- Proficiency in Java runtimes, performance tuning on Application Servers, and troubleshooting issues- Experience in automation scripting languages like Python- Mastery in collaborative software development using Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.At EY, our mission is to build a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society.
