Job Description

As an AVP Operations Analyst at Barclays, you will have a pivotal leadership role in supporting the Branch Head in managing the GIFT City IFSC Branch. Your responsibilities will include overseeing key deliverables across Transformation, Branch Management, Regulatory Engagement, Regulatory Reporting, and Controls. Your primary focus will be on ensuring operational efficiency, strong governance, and sustainable long-term growth in alignment with Barclays global standards and local regulatory requirements.**Role Overview:**In this role, you will:- Drive transformation by leading and supporting branch-wide initiatives aligned with Barclays strategic priorities.- Manage day-to-day branch operations including client onboarding, foreign currency transactions, term deposits, payment operations, and money market products.- Lead regulatory engagement by acting as a liaison with regulatory bodies and maintaining proactive relationships.- Ensure accurate regulatory reporting by interpreting guidelines and implementing necessary changes.- Strengthen controls and governance by maintaining a robust control environment and implementing governance frameworks.- Lead stakeholder management and team culture to build strong relationships and foster a culture of integrity and teamwork within the branch.**Key Responsibilities:**- Collaborate with infrastructure, technology, and business teams to implement new systems, processes, and products.- Champion continuous improvement and change management to enhance operational efficiency.- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and support the Branch Head in executing the operating plan.- Act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate submission of reports.- Maintain a robust control environment and implement governance frameworks.- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and foster a culture of integrity and teamwork within the branch.**Qualifications Required:**To be successful in this role, you should:- Have strong knowledge of GIFT City regulations, FEMA guidelines, IFSCA/RBI frameworks, and applicable products.- Bring working knowledge of Corporate Banking, Forex, and Derivative businesses.- Demonstrate strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking capability.- Be proactive, self-driven, and comfortable with high-accountability environments.- Possess strong communication, stakeholder management, and issue-escalation skills.**Additional Details:** The job location for this position is Gandhinagar.
