Job Description

    You are an experienced and passionate Chef sought to be a part of the culinary team at a prestigious 5-star resort located in Bir, Himachal Pradesh. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in a 4-star or higher property, showcasing creativity, excellence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service within the resorts kitchen. Your primary responsibilities will include cooking, training kitchen staff, ensuring the preparation of exquisite and diverse dishes, and upholding high culinary standards.Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will encompass various aspects such as menu planning and development, food preparation and quality control, cooking and staff training, kitchen management, guest experience and satisfaction, team coordination and leadership, health and safety compliance, as well as cost management and budgeting.You will be expected to design, plan, and implement menus in alignment with the resorts culinary vision and guest preferences, updating them regularly to reflect seasonal ingredients, market trends, and guest demands. Additionally, you will oversee food preparation to maintain consistency and quality, ensure exceptional food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards, and monitor kitchen operations for adherence to food safety regulations.Your role will also involve actively cooking and preparing meals to high standards of taste and presentation, providing training and guidance to kitchen staff, supervising and leading the kitchen team for optimal performance, managing kitchen operations efficiently, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.To excel in this role, you should hold a formal degree or diploma in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management from a reputed institution, have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with exposure to a 5-star property or luxury resort environment, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and culinary skills. Your ability to work under pressure, maintain high quality, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment will be essential for success.In addition, possessing knowledge of global cuisine, regional specialties, contemporary cooking trends, and Himachali cuisine will be advantageous.
