Job Description

As an OutSystems Software Developer at Ceres and its subsidiaries, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting custom-developed software applications to meet operational needs across various regions. Working collaboratively within a dedicated team, your focus will be on creating applications for data collection and editing on iOS devices and laptops, with an emphasis on offline functionality.Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and configuring high-quality applications using OutSystems ServiceStudio in alignment with business requirements. You will create reusable components as Application Objects (AOs) and ensure high-quality coding practices following industry standards. Crafting intuitive website layouts and user interfaces using OutSystems web and mobile technologies will be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will design robust integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and conduct thorough testing and debugging to address any software glitches.In this role, you will proactively address software malfunctions by diagnosing root causes and seeking resolutions through OutSystems customer support or independent means. You will also contribute to evaluating and adopting suitable tools and technological solutions, as well as championing the establishment of technical standards to enhance the quality and efficiency of IT solutions.To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in software development using OutSystems. You should also have at least 3 years of experience in custom software solutions tailored to diverse business processes and possess at least one OutSystems Developer Certificate (Web and/or Mobile). Proficiency in Azure and Microsoft365 environments is required, and experience in developing offline-capable applications is highly desirable. Prior exposure to geo-centric software solutions will be an added advantage.Your knowledge and skills should include a solid understanding of foundational software development principles, core knowledge of UI/UX design, familiarity with software testing methodologies, proficiency in JavaScript, and experience with both relational and non-relational databases. Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional listening and questioning skills, and the capacity to engage confidently within the organization to decipher challenges and provide solutions are essential for this role.,
