Agentic AI Engineer - Generative AI & Data Science

In this role as an Agentic AI Engineer at Novartis, you will be a key contributor to the development and execution of a multi-year AI strategy and roadmap focusing on optimizing operational efficiency and driving organizational growth. Your responsibilities will include developing and deploying scalable AI solutions with a specific focus on GenAI applications, staying updated on advancements in AI technologies such as generative models and Large Language Models (LLMs), collaborating with a high-performing team of data scientists, guiding best practices for code quality and ML/AI Ops pipelines, integrating AI-driven solutions across platforms, and championing a culture of experimentation and best practices adoption. Your role will also involve translating complex algorithmic outputs into clear narratives for senior leadership.Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors degree in a related field with 10-12 years of experience or a Masters degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Certifications in GenAI/ML platforms (AWS/Azure) are considered a plus. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience working on advanced data science projects, including leading high-performing data science or ML teams, delivering GenAI and agentic solutions, and deploying scalable ML models using cloud services. Your technical expertise should include a deep understanding of autonomous AI agents and frameworks, knowledge of generative models like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs), as well as proficiency in Python and deploying models in production environments.Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in the commercial pharma industry, a Masters degree in computer science or data science, familiarity with Agile methodologies, strong collaboration skills, and excellent communication abilities for engaging senior leadership.Your skills should encompass a range of areas including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI Frameworks, Machine Learning Model Deployment, AWS/Azure Cloud Services, Deep Learning, Statistical Analysis, Python Programming, and Problem-Solving.Novartis is dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment and diverse teams that reflect the patients and communities they serve, and the company values and behaviors should be upheld in all aspects of work and collaboration.Location for this position is Hyderabad NKC, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days a week in the office.
