Job Description

    As a Manager in the Legal department located in Azamabad (Near RTC Cross Roads), Hyderabad, you will be responsible for joining our in-house legal team as a Junior Legal Counsel with 5 to 7 years PQE. Your role will involve showcasing your proactive legal skills with a strong expertise in commercial contracts, compliance, and regulatory frameworks specific to the pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing sector. You will closely collaborate with the Vice President Legal, assisting in strategic transactions and offering legal guidance across the organization.Key Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including supply, distribution, licensing, joint ventures, procurement, R&D collaborations, and confidentiality agreements.- Ensure compliance with Indian pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare regulations such as the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Companies Act, labor laws, and data protection.- Manage disputes, regulatory investigations, and litigation in coordination with external counsel.- Provide responses to legal notices, regulator communications, and compliance queries.- Conduct legal research and offer expert advice on evolving laws and their business implications.- Support M&A, strategic partnerships, and cross-border transactions.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, R&D, sales, HR, operations) to structure legally sound business practices.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in law (LL.B) from a recognized university.- 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing.- Solid understanding of commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, and pharma regulatory frameworks.- Proven track record in handling complex agreements and regulatory compliance matters.- Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and offer practical solutions.Please note that this job description is sourced from iimjobs.com and may contain additional details about the company that are not mentioned in the provided JD.
