Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be joining the Amara Raja Group as a Manager Contracts and Claims for the EPC Power Business unit based in Hyderabad. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the contracts and claims for multiple projects within the power division. This role involves identifying, analyzing risks, providing mitigation measures, negotiating EPC contracts, and ensuring the companys legal and contractual positions are protected.Key Responsibilities:- Negotiating EPC contract agreements for various projects including Transmission, Distribution, Railways, Solar, BESS, etc.- Drafting and negotiating subcontract agreements for services like Supply and Civil Services.- Drafting and vetting critical contractual and legal communications to clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.- Developing and implementing contractual compliance for each project, including handling claims, delays, defects, and disputes.- Working with the project team for dispute resolution and assisting legal during arbitration and court proceedings.Qualifications Required:- 12-14 years of full-time work experience with a minimum of 4-6 years of field experience in projects and contract/procurement management.- Experience in large complex capital EPC projects, particularly in Power Projects in India, Middle East, or globally.- Educational requirements include an engineering degree (preferably Civil or Mechanical) combined with a PGDM in Contract Administration from NICMAR or RICS for post-award contracts, and a Law degree with a focus on contract law for pre-award contracts.- Skills required include drafting skills, understanding construction/commercial contract risks, knowledge of project management methodologies, basic financial principles, and legal awareness.- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams of Projects, O&M, Engineering, Finance, SCM, Legal, etc.About Company:The Amara Raja Group is a fast-growing conglomerate in India with a revenue exceeding USD 1.75 Billion.
