Data Insights Analyst, Trust and Safety Compute

Job Description

As a Data Insights Analyst at Google, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic decision-making through detailed data analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team of vertical analysts, leveraging your problem-solving skills and thought leadership to help them uncover abuse patterns, evaluate decision-making models, and lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure user safety on Google platforms.Key Responsibilities:- Lead a dedicated analyst team to collaborate closely with operations, product, and engineering teams across Trust and Safety Compute.- Work with diverse datasets from the Play Store ecosystem, such as app metadata and review history, to investigate root causes of business problems and provide comprehensive solutions.- Build and maintain analysis pipelines to offer scalable insights for risk monitoring and decision-making, generating regular reports on key risk metrics and trends for stakeholders.- Develop clear and concise presentations on operational health, analysis findings, and recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.- Design and implement automated analysis tools and dashboards using Looker to empower users in identifying business opportunities and making informed decisions.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.- 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.- 1 year of experience in people management, as a lead, or coaching/mentoring others.- Experience with fraud, security, and threat analysis in the context of Internet-related products/activities.- Proficiency in datasets and analytical tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python).- Experience in developing visualizations from data.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in project management, metrics analysis, experiment design, and automation.- Proficiency in statistical analyses, modeling, and machine learning methods.- Familiarity with procedures for responding to regulatory violations, investigation protocol, and mandatory reporting requirements.- Ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.- Strong problem-solving skills, a quantitative mindset, and the ability to translate insights into business strategies and actions.Googles Trust & Safety team is dedicated to combating abuse and ensuring user trust across all Google products.
