Job Description

    As a Data Scientist at Google, you will play a crucial role in helping to serve Googles worldwide user base of more than a billion people. You will provide quantitative support, market understanding, and a strategic perspective to partners throughout the organization. Your expertise in analytics will enable you to make critical recommendations for Engineering and Product Management teams based on data-driven insights. Heres a breakdown of your responsibilities:- Provide analytical thought leadership by contributing proactively and strategically, leveraging insights and analytics to drive decisions and alignment within the organization.- Collaborate with a team on various stages of problem-solving, including defining problems, developing metrics, extracting and manipulating data, visualizing data, creating and implementing analytical/statistical models, and presenting findings to stakeholders.- Define and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present impact assessments during regular business reviews with cross-functional and cross-organizational leadership teams.- Design and implement machine learning models to address business challenges within the Enterprise Support domain, collaborating with ML Engineering teams to test and deploy generative AI models for internal customers.- Provide feedback on analyses and business cases conducted by others to ensure quality and accuracy.Qualifications required:- Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.- 3 years of experience in statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).- 3 years of experience managing analytical projects.Preferred qualifications:- Masters degree in machine learning, statistics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.- Experience applying ML and advanced analytics solutions to enterprise operations teams.- Experience with the full ML product lifecycle, from ideation to exploration, productionization, and long-term support.In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform Google Enterprise business operations, supply chain, IT support, and internal tooling with AI and Advanced Analytics. You will enable operations and product teams to succeed in their advanced analytics projects through various engagement models, ranging from consulting to productionizing and deploying models.
