Data Visualization Engineer

Job Description

As a Reporting Engineer at the Innovation Center in India, you will be responsible for managing Amgens Value Management Office reporting and collaborating with colleagues globally. Your role involves developing solutions to connect data assets from various sources like Jira, Jira Align, Anaplan, and Smartsheets to drive Agile Lean Portfolio analytics for enhanced portfolio management and execution. Additionally, you will work on developing reporting visualizations with AI capabilities and partner with Value Management Office and Client Facing product teams on data aggregation and integration.**Roles & Responsibilities:**- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.- Assist in optimizing data models and queries for performance and scalability.- Support ad-hoc reporting needs and data analysis requests.- Document reporting processes and maintain version control of reporting assets.- Stay updated with BI trends and tools for continuous improvement.- Enforce data governance for data assets through data access management and business approval processes.**Basic Qualifications and Experience:**- Masters degree with 3 - 7 years or Bachelors degree with 5 - 9 years.- Proven experience in working in global teams and across time zones and cultures.- Proven experience in working in Product teams and delivering high-quality solutions.- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.- Excellent English oral and written communication.**Functional Skills:***Must-Have Skills:*- Hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau.- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.- Basic knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to translate business stakeholder requirements to IT partners effectively.- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work under limited supervision.- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management skills.- Strong vendor management skills.*Good-to-Have Skills:*- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools.- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP.- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).**Soft Skills:**- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.- Strong data & analytics/critical-thinking abilities.- Able to perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment.- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
