Role Overview:As a Hybrid Cloud - Database and Cloud Engineer Senior at EY, you will play a crucial role in providing support for highly technical functions related to Database Platforms such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, No-SQL DBs, and Cloud Native DBs. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining data architecture/models, designing database layers, data modeling, and developing database architectural artifacts. You will be expected to design enterprise-scale systems, lead solution architecture efforts, and collaborate closely with business and IT partners during early SDLC phases.Key Responsibilities:- Create and maintain data architecture/models to enhance system robustness, performance, and scalability- Design and develop database layers, and prepare solutions and designs for OLTP systems- Develop database architectural artifacts like Logical Data Model and System Conceptual model- Design enterprise scale systems using Database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, No-SQL DBs, and Cloud Native DBs- Identify and resolve existing system/application design, performance, and implementation issues- Lead the solution architecture and design effort on complex applications and their eco-systems- Collaborate with business and IT partners to understand program goals during early SDLC phasesQualifications Required:- Over 4 years of in-depth experience in the database and Public Cloud domain- 4 years of experience in DB management, Architecture Design, and Implementation of multiple DB technologies- Experience in managing DB migration (Homogeneous and Heterogeneous), from On-Prem to Public Cloud- Experience in handling upgrades for Oracle/MSSQL to newer versions- Hands-on experience in building and operating highly available and DR database infrastructure solutions- Experience in providing recommendations for performance optimizations to the App team- Experience with No-SQL Database technologies and database automation/life cycle management/operational optimizations- Familiarity with Public Cloud services management (AWS, Azure & GCP)- Knowledge of data analytics, database integration with AI workload, and excellent communication skills- Experience in Presales/RFPs/RFI/Consulting and database architecture is a plusAdditional Details:EY exists to build a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society, and by building trust in the capital markets.
