Energy Estimation Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview:As a resourceful candidate joining DESRI India Private Limited in Hyderabad, India, you will be part of the Design and Engineering team. Your responsibilities will involve regular interaction with U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties. You will work within a small, inclusive, highly skilled team dedicated to supporting DESRIs portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects. The environment emphasizes collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:- Work on detailed PV plant designing of utility-scale projects, focusing on production optimization and analytics- Provide suggestions and inputs to optimize production by studying layout- Simulate energy yield using PVSyst or similar tools with different combinations of plant components and analyze energy yield- Assess the impact of various weather parameters, topo, shading, and other constraints on energy production estimationQualifications:- Hold a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of experience OR a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Renewable/Solar Energy/Power Systems with 2 years of relevant experience in utility-scale power projects- Proficient in PVSyst or similar software, Python, and advanced MS Excel- Sound knowledge of AC/DC electrical power systems- Ability to communicate conclusions through well-structured presentations and data visualizations- Proficiency in SQL, data analytics, and data visualization tools like Power BI- Excellent understanding of solar weather data analysis, data analytics, knowledge in IEC and NEC codes and standards, experience in commissioning solar plants, and field experience Role Overview:As a resourceful candidate joining DESRI India Private Limited in Hyderabad, India, you will be part of the Design and Engineering team.
