Job Description

As a skilled React.js Developer with a strong background in data analytics, you will be responsible for managing complex data engineering, analysis, and programming tasks to support the execution of Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit activities at Invesco. Your role will involve streamlining data extraction processes, designing use cases, analyzing data, and applying data science techniques to deliver efficient solutions for greater risk intelligence and insights.Key Responsibilities:- Acquire, transform, and manage data supporting risk and control-related activities- Design, build, and maintain data analytics and data science tools- Maintain programming code, software packages, and databases for ongoing analytics activities- Exercise judgment in the application of data analytics for business processes- Discover and leverage data analytics capabilities within the firm- Introduce new data analytics-related tools and technologies to business partners- Support stakeholders understanding of product logic and system processes- Share learnings and techniques with colleagues- Contribute to developing a culture of innovation in the department- Keep departmental leadership informed of activities- Perform other duties and special projects as assignedWork Experience / Knowledge:- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, software development, or data-related risk management- Experience in the financial services sector preferredSkills / Other Personal Attributes Required:- Proactive problem solver with the ability to design and deliver solutions- Excellent in code development supporting data analytics and visualization- Proficient in ETL processes, SQL, and database management- Strong self-learner to develop new technical capabilities- Experience with end user data analytics software- Proficient in various disciplines of data science- Experience with AWS services for web application implementation- Strong project management and administrative skills- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills- Results-oriented and comfortable as an individual contributor- Ability to handle confidential information and work in a diverse environment- Adaptable and comfortable with changing environments- Demonstrates high professional ethicsFormal Education:- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field preferred- MBA or Masters degree in related fields a plusLicense / Certification:- Professional data science, analytics, business intelligence, or development designation preferred- Other certifications considered based on relevant experienceWorking Conditions:- Potential for up to 10% domestic and international travel As a skilled React.js Developer with a strong background in data analytics, you will be responsible for managing complex data engineering, analysis, and programming tasks to support the execution of Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit activities at Invesco.
