    Greeting from Malabar!Job Title : Head Chef ( Industrail Canteen)Experience : 6 years experienceLocation:Maheshwaram, Telanagana Department: Canteen OperationsJob SummaryThe Head Chef oversees all kitchen operations in the industrial canteen, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals for factory workers and staff. This role includes menu planning, staff supervision, and maintaining food safety standards in a high-volume kitchen environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMenu Planning: Design balanced, nutritious, and cost-effective menus tailored to the dietary needs of factory workers.Incorporate feedback from workers and management to improve meal options.South indian, North indian food, bulk cookingKitchen Operations ManagementSupervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely preparation and service of meals.Coordinate with the Catering Supervisor and kitchen team to streamline workflow and reduce delays. Food Preparation:Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes.Ensure meals are prepared in bulk quantities without compromising on taste or presentation.Team Leadership:Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers, to maintain high performance and morale.Assign tasks and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.Hygiene & Safety:Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI and HACCP standards for food safety and hygiene.Conduct regular kitchen inspections and address any safety or cleanliness issues.Inventory Management:Collaborate with the Storekeeper to ensure the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients and supplies.Monitor usage to minimize waste and ensure cost control.Compliance & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of meal counts, food costs, and wastage for reporting to management.Participate in regular audits and ensure compliance with industrial canteen standards and regulations.Qualifications & Skills
    • Education: Diploma or Bachelors in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
    • Experience:
      • 5 years of experience as a chef, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or head chef role.
      • Experience in institutional, industrial, or large-scale catering is highly preferred.
    • Skills:
      • Expertise in bulk meal preparation, especially Indian cuisines.
      • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
      • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and industrial kitchen equipment.
      • Proficiency in menu planning and cost management.
    Work Environment
    • Fast-paced industrial canteen kitchen requiring adaptability and time management.
    • Extended hours during peak meal times or factory shifts.
