Job Description

    As a Sr Associate Integration Software Engineer at Amgen, your role will involve contributing towards designing, building, and maintaining data solutions to provide actionable insights for driving business decisions. You will be required to work with large datasets, develop data pipelines, support data governance initiatives, and visualize data to ensure accessibility, reliability, and efficient management. The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong technical skills and experience with MuleSoft, Databricks, Airflow, and AWS.**Roles & Responsibilities:**- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Databricks and Airflow- Build and maintain APIs and MuleSoft jobs for robust integrations between CRM and cross-functional systems- Assist in the design and development of data pipelines- Create data pipelines and ensure data quality through ETL processes- Contribute to the implementation of data pipelines and integration solutions- Manage data pipeline projects from inception to deployment- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting business needs- Develop and maintain data models, dictionaries, and documentation for data accuracy- Implement data security and privacy measures- Utilize cloud platforms like AWS for scalable data solutions- Communicate effectively with product teams and collaborate on data-related challenges- Adhere to best practices for coding, testing, and designing reusable components- Explore new tools and technologies for improving ETL platform performance- Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide technical estimations**Basic Qualifications and Experience:**- Masters degree with 3 to 7 years of Computer Science or related field experience- Bachelors degree with 5 to 9 years of Computer Science or related field experience- Diploma with 7 to 11 years of Computer Science or related field experience**Functional Skills:****Must-Have Skills:**- Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Databricks, Apache Spark, and workflow orchestration- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and data visualization tools- Skilled in MuleSoft API integration and job development- Strong problem-solving skills with large datasets- Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices- Knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements**Good-to-Have Skills:**- Experience with ETL tools, Python packages for data processing, and machine learning model development- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts- Familiarity with AnyPoint Platform, Python/R, Databricks, SageMaker, Airflow, AWS cloud data platforms- Proficiency in using Databricks Assistant and other AI tools**Professional Certifications:**- Certified in MuleSoft Certified Developer 1 or higher- Certified Associate or Professional Data Engineer / Data Analyst- Certified AWS Professional or Associate certification**Soft Skills:**- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills- Strong communication and collaboration abilities- Awareness of team dynamics and effective presentation skillsIn conclusion, Amgen is an Equal Opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
