Job Description

    You will be joining the Risk Data Management team at Franklin Templeton, which is responsible for compiling data and reports for risk analysis. Your primary role as a Risk Analyst will involve identifying and reconciling data and modeling discrepancies, creating and managing data visualizations, and ensuring accurate reports and data are delivered within defined timeframes. You will also be expected to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of a specific investment strategy.**Key Responsibilities:**- Support a specific data model and asset class focus by identifying, reconciling, and resolving data issues of low complexity- Look for errors in data models and analyze existing internal tools and data warehouses to confirm data quality- Run existing standard reports and queries from Risk systems and databases, ensuring timely delivery to clients and downstream systems- Respond to ad-hoc requests for risk statistical information and work closely with the Technology team for testing production enhancements- Manage existing analytics and create new ones if required- Respond to specific requests for portfolio characteristics and risk statistics information**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science, or related field- Relevant industry certifications like CFA, FRM are preferable- 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in the Asset Management Industry, specifically in the front office with exposure to investment, trading, portfolio, and risk data- Experience in Data Quality, Data Analytics, and/or Data Management- Proficiency in Database and SQL (Structured Query Language), Tableau or Power BI, and any programming language- Knowledge of Database/SQL (Azure, Snowflake, AWS), Data Science/Analytics (Excel, Databricks, coding, Python, Machine learning, AI), Visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and Data Modelling (Barra, Port, Axioma)- Understanding of Business & Risk Knowledge, Industry Trends, Initiative, Organization & Time Management, Communication, Problem Solving, and Decision MakingExperience the welcoming culture at Franklin Templeton and explore opportunities for professional and personal growth.
