IT Engineering Manager

Job Description

In this role as the IT Engineering Manager for Retail Distribution, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions that support distribution center modernization and business operations.Key Responsibilities: Hire, develop, and coach a high-performing, multi-skilled team of 815 associates. Motivate, inspire, and build high-performing talent through strong leadership skills. Drive performance management, including coaching, goal setting, and ensuring accountability. Manage a global function in a complex, multi-national corporate setting with geographically dispersed teams. Demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Apply enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. Champion agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise retail distribution solutions. Act as an escalation point for service disruptions and ensure timely incident resolution. Foster collaboration across global teams and promote a positive, inclusive culture. Mentor and develop team members aligning with company values.Qualifications Required: 14 years in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in people leadership positions. Expertise in Java-based microservices, event-driven architecture, API development, and cloud-native applications (Azure). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.Additionally, experience in supply chain or warehousing, familiarity with Manhattan WMS, and SAFe Agile certification would be considered as nice-to-have qualifications for this role.
