As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Operational Technology - Machine Learning & Intelligence Operations (MLIO), you play a crucial role in an agile team that focuses on enhancing, building, and delivering cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your primary responsibilities include:- Implementing creative software solutions, designing, developing, and troubleshooting technical issues with an innovative approach- Writing secure, high-quality production code, as well as reviewing and debugging code written by peers- Identifying opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability- Conducting evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability- Leading communities of practice within Software Engineering to promote the adoption of new technologies- Promoting a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectTo qualify for this role, you should have:- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with over 5 years of practical experience- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability- Advanced proficiency in Python development and building Microservices using Python frameworks in AWS environments like EKS and Lambda- Expertise in automation and continuous delivery methods- Sound understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies such as Agile and Scrum- Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security- Proficiency in software applications and technical processes related to cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and ETL- In-depth understanding of IT systems in the financial services industry- Practical experience in cloud-native technologiesPreferred qualifications include:- Exposure to Database-related programming in both SQL and No-SQL- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Elastic Search, and Data Dog- Knowledge of Data Ingestion and DatabricksJPMorgan Chase & Co. is a renowned financial institution with a rich history spanning over 200 years.
