Role Overview:As a Product Development Engineer II (Full-Stack) at Phenom, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of scalable, secure, and highly efficient backend services and systems. Your role will involve translating business objectives into technical solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring operational excellence across platforms. You will work on building innovative solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product outcomes in alignment with business requirements.Key Responsibilities:- Lead full-stack product development efforts, focusing on SAAS architecture, user experience, and backend system performance.- Develop and maintain frontend user interfaces using JavaScript, while ensuring backend services in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, and MongoDB are efficient and scalable.- Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and overall operational needs to ensure compatibility with DevOps processes.- Work independently and collaboratively on full-stack projects to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.- Maintain operational excellence by reducing on-call volume, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for full-stack systems, and driving system-wide improvements.- Collaborate with product managers and designers to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with business requirements.- Mentor and guide junior engineers (PDE I/II) in both frontend and backend development to help them advance their technical skills and grow within the organization.Qualifications Required:- 4-7 years of software development experience with a focus on full-stack development.- Expertise in Java/J2EE and building backend services using REST and JSON.- Strong frontend experience with JavaScript, specializing in building responsive and user-friendly web applications.- Experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems in production environments.- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with hands-on experience in cloud-based deployments.- Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring engineers, and driving system-wide architectural decisions.- Operational experience in post-launch troubleshooting, system monitoring, and on-call responsibilities.Additional Details:Phenom is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing the importance of building phenomenal teams, products, and customer experiences.
