Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer - SDE 2 at one of Weekdays clients in Hyderabad, you will be a part of a dynamic engineering team dedicated to developing scalable and user-centric web applications. Your role will involve working across the full stack, taking ownership of features, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products using modern JavaScript frameworks.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js to support high-traffic web applications.- Create responsive, intuitive, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js for an excellent user experience across devices.- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements and user stories into technical solutions.- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards.- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for secure, efficient, and reliable data exchange between frontend and backend systems.- Optimize application performance, improve response times, and ensure high availability and scalability.- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to overall code quality and team learning.- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure system stability and reliability.- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support deployments, monitoring, and CI/CD processes.- Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve system design as the product scales.Qualifications Required:- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in full-stack or backend/frontend development in a product-driven environment.- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js, with experience building scalable backend services and APIs.- Solid hands-on experience with React.js, including component-based architecture, state management, and modern hooks.- Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and modern ES standards.- Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and understanding of data modeling and performance considerations.- Familiarity with RESTful architecture, API security, and integration best practices.- Exposure to version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.- Ability to understand system requirements, break down problems, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a focus on writing quality, scalable code.- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.- Eagerness to learn new technologies, improve continuously, and take ownership of features end to end.
