Role Overview:As a seasoned software engineer at PwC, you will be tasked with designing and executing the platform migration from a monolithic to a microservice-based architecture. Your main responsibilities will include:Key Responsibilities:- Redesigning the application from the current monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture in an efficient and scalable manner.- Owning the application migration from the current platform to a data-driven streaming platform.- Being autonomous, motivated, and self-driven.- Collaborating effectively with relevant stakeholders in the division.- Prioritizing customer experience and on-time delivery.- Communicating effectively with peers and stakeholders.- Demonstrating accountability, commitment to quality work, and readiness to embrace challenges.- Planning, prioritizing, and owning individual and group activities effectively.Qualifications Required:- Hands-on experience in Java 8/Python.- Experience in designing and developing applications using Spring/Guice.- Proficiency in Sprint Boot, Web service (Rest Service), and Microservices-based Architecture.- Good understanding of design patterns and ability to design solutions and algorithms.- Experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices will be a plus.- Familiarity with NoSQL DBs such as Couchbase and MongoDB.- Knowledge of any Message Queue, with Kafka knowledge being a plus.- Exposure to OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.- Understanding of NFRs and CICD.- Experience in the Airline domain is a plus.- 4 to 9 years of experience in analysis, design, and development of software systems in Java.- Education qualification: Bachelor of Technology.(Note: The job posting does not provide additional details about the company.)
