Senior Associate - Transactional Finance in R&D Business Operations

Role Overview:Amgens Research and Development (R&D) Business Operations organization seeks a Senior Associate in Transactional Finance to support end-to-end financial transactions and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of supplier contracting processes within the Global Business Transactions Center (GBTC). This role requires expertise in resource and expense management, data analytics, financial acumen, and familiarity with Ariba and SAP software.Key Responsibilities:- Execute financial transactions, including purchase order processing, invoice verification, and payment processing using Anaplan, Ariba, or SAP software.- Manage master data, vendor information, and financial data in Ariba or SAP systems.- Collect and analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights for process improvement.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and ensure compliance.- Identify opportunities for process improvement, provide training and support on Ariba or SAP functionalities, and participate in compliance-related activities.Qualification Required:- Bachelors degree, or Associate degree with 2 years of related experience, or High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.- Familiarity with research and clinical development in the biopharmaceutical industry.- Experience with financial systems (Planisware, Veeva, SAP, Ariba) and analytics software.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working with virtual teams.- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Additional Company Details:As a Senior Associate in Transactional Finance at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in supporting the R&D Business Operations organization.
