Role Overview:As a Senior Frontend Developer at SkyCell, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and evolution of the Shared Design Library. This library consists of reusable React components, design tokens, and UX patterns that are essential for powering our applications. Your technical expertise, self-driven attitude, and passion for delivering clean and scalable code will be key in collaborating with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to establish standards, implement best practices, and maintain consistency across our products.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the implementation of a Shared Design Library including reusable React components, design tokens, and UX patterns- Define naming conventions, versioning strategy, theming, accessibility standards (WCAG), and contribution guidelines for the library- Set up and maintain component documentation using tools like Storybook and MDX, providing usage guidelines and live examples- Establish governance for proposing, reviewing, deprecating, and evolving components in collaboration with UI/UX Designers and QA- Develop and implement a comprehensive testing framework/strategy covering component unit tests, visual regression, accessibility checks, and integration tests- Work closely with Product Designers to translate guidelines into tokenized, testable components ensuring consistency across applications- Integrate the library into CI/CD pipelines with automated builds, tests, visual regression, and versioned releases- Write clean, maintainable, scalable code in TypeScript and React to build responsive, reliable, and secure web applications- Own feature development from idea to deployment, aligning with various teams including product, design, backend, QA, and BA- Review code, challenge assumptions, and elevate the technical standards across the team- Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance to support team growth- Contribute to shaping frontend architecture and making long-term decisions regarding modularity, patterns, and performanceQualifications Required:- 5 years of professional experience in frontend development with expertise in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the React ecosystem- Experience in designing or contributing to a design system or shared component library, including tokens, theming, accessibility, and documentation- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, web security, performance, and accessibility best practices- Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative, CI/CD environment with agile processes and rapid feedback loops- Proficiency in Git, npm/yarn, and modern frontend tooling- Strong communication skills with a focus on direct feedback and open dialogue- Supportive team player who actively shares knowledge and mentors colleagues- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and balance multiple tasks effectively(Note: The additional details of the company have been omitted as they are not explicitly relevant to the job description.)
